In-Person Food Protection Manager Review Course
Our 4-hour in-person review course offers a targeted overview of the most challenging concepts covered in the proctored exam. To ensure adequate preparation, participants must complete this course before attending the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam Prep Course (2022 FDA Food Code).
Exam Prep Course Access
Within 24 business hours of registering, participants will receive an email containing a link and login details for the Food Protection Manager Certification Exam Prep Course (2022 FDA Food Code). This online course is compatible with various devices, allowing for flexible completion.

Pricing Update
Starting in 2025, HRBUniversal will introduce a tiered pricing structure for all in-person food protection manager courses and exams. Early registration will offer reduced pricing, providing participants with both cost savings and additional preparation time.
Please note: If an in-person course and exam are rescheduled, refunds will not be issued for the price difference. All registered participants will have access to the complete set of training materials.

Free Exam Retake Policy
Participants in our in-person course and exam session are eligible to retake the exam for free if they meet the following requirements:
- Complete Exam Prep Course: Achieve a score of 80% or higher on all chapter quizzes and the 100-question practice exam in HRBUniversal’s Food Protection Manager Certification Exam Prep Course (2022 FDA Food Code).
- Submit Certificate of Completion: Upload your certificate of completion through our mobile app (along with a valid government-issued ID) during check-in, or present a printed copy at the in-person session.

- One Free Retest: Participants are limited to a single free in-person retest. This policy does not apply to remote or virtual exams.
- Next Available Session: The free retake must be done at the next available in-person course and exam session in your area conducted by HRBUniversal. Failure to attend this session will void the free retest offer, and the full exam price will apply to any future retakes.
Registration deadline for In-Person Courses & Exams
- Registration Deadline: All in-person course and exam registrations will close at 9:00 AM five calendar days before the scheduled session date.
- Minimum Enrollment: A minimum number of participants is required to hold an in-person session. This minimum varies by market but is generally set at 10 participants. Under 10 participants are subject to be rescheduled.
- Transfer to Online or Remote Course & Exam: All registered participants may request to transfer registration to the online or remote option if the in-person course & exam session is rescheduled. To participate in the online or remote course & exam session must have a computer, webcam, microphone, and a secure internet connection. Please test your equipment before requesting the transfer – Equipment Test
- Reopening Registration: If the minimum enrollment is not met by the initial deadline, registration may be reopened.
