Location: All In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam session locations may change depending on the size of session registrations. You will receive an Instructor-Led Course & Exam session reminder via the email/Eventbrite email system used for registration within (3) three calendar days before the session date. All locations meet ADA requirements. If needing special accommodations please request them during registration. These requests must be made thirty (30) calendar days before the session date.
Correspondence: HRBUniversal uses the following communication channels – Email/Eventbrite Event email system, SMS Messaging, Facebook Messenger, WebChat, Mobile App, Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging & Telephone.
- Email/Eventbrite Event Email System – All correspondence is made through the contact person’s email address used for the registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email after registration please view your junk/spam folder. To ensure the proper delivery of emails about the sessions please whitelist with your email provider emails from Eventbrite.com and HRBUni.net. HRBUniversal is not responsible if your email provider filters email correspondence or deletion from the participant and/or contact person.
- SMS Messaging – SMS messaging may be used for session updates and notices.
- Facebook Messanger – This is an automated system that works off of KEYWORDS for information.
- WebChat – This is used for live website support from multiple website domains that HRBUniversal owns & operates.
- Mobile App – If you choose to download any of HRBUniversal’s mobile apps you may receive push notifications.
- Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging – This is used to request reschedules, participant changes, refund requests, and general support that can not be provided in other communication channels. All changes to registration must be made by the contact person only and in written form by submitting a help ticket via Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging or WebChat.
- Telephone – Telephone communication is used for information exchange only. Any changes to registration must be in written form via Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging or WebChat. Requests in any other channels will not be accepted.
By communicating through any communication channel above you agree to allow HRBUniversal to capture all information related to the communication for marketing, support, regulatory reporting & legal actions. No information will be sold to a third party at any time. You may unsubscribe at any time to any communication channel by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE.
Tech Support: HRBUniversal can only provide tech support for websites & apps owned by HRBUniversal. Please contact the brand or website you need support with directly.
In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam Session Size: Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions for up to 8 people are subject to be rescheduled. All Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions have a maximum of 35 people. We reserve the right to combine Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions within a 60-mile radius to meet Instructor-Led Course & Exam session minimum. You will be notified of a date reschedule or location change via the email used for registration (3) three calendar days before the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session date. Instructor-Led course & Exam sessions with less than the minimum are subject to be rescheduled and are non-refundable. Please review the Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, Instructor Course & Exam Details before registering for class.
Scores & Certificates: Depending on the exam option & brand of the exam, scores are viewable online, and certificates are available to download. All participants must print their certificates. Rescheduling Policy: HRBUniversal determines the final status of In-Person Instructor-Led Courses and Exam sessions once the registration period concludes. Registration officially closes five (5) calendar days prior to the scheduled session at 9:00 AM CST.
HRBUniversal reserves the right to reschedule any session due to low enrollment, instructor illness, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. Such decisions may occur prior to the registration closing date. In the event of a rescheduling or postponement, registered participants will be notified via their registered email address up to three (3) calendar days before the scheduled session.
Enrollment Minimums and Location Adjustments
Sessions with fewer than eight (8) registered participants are subject to rescheduling if minimum attendance requirements are not met. To satisfy these minimums, HRBUniversal reserves the right to consolidate classes within a 60-mile radius of the original location.
If a session is rescheduled, your registration will automatically transfer to the next available session within that 60-mile radius. If a participant is unable to attend the alternative session, HRBUniversal will provide alternative certification pathways in the rescheduling notice. These options will fulfill all regulatory certification requirements and may utilize a different instructional format; however, no additional fees will incur unless the participant explicitly requests a specific branded product.
Please Note: Partial refunds reflecting the difference between the original registration fee and advanced booking rates will not be issued. This is because all participants retain access to training materials and hold the option to transition to remote or online alternatives that exceed the value of the in-person session.
Participant-Initiated Rescheduling Requests
Participants wishing to reschedule a session must submit a formal request exclusively through the Help Ticket System. HRBUniversal will not accept rescheduling requests via any other communication channel.
- Eligibility: Requests must be submitted by the primary account contact using the email address associated with the original registration. Individual participants cannot request changes if they are not the designated primary contact.
- Complimentary Rescheduling: Standard rescheduling is complimentary provided the request is submitted via the Help Ticket System before registration closes for the scheduled session and prior to any automated event notifications being broadcast.
- Required Information: All submissions must include:
- The primary contact’s name and registered email address.
- The original session date and location.
- The requested new session date and location (available at hrbuni.com/events).
Upon processing, the transferred registration is treated as a new booking and remains subject to the Instructor Course & Exam Details agreed to during initial registration. However, the registration becomes strictly non-refundable once the date of the originally scheduled session has passed.
Late Rescheduling Fees and Deadlines
Rescheduling requests submitted after automated email or application notifications have been issued, or within five (5) days of the event, will incur a $75.00 administrative fee. This fee offsets the non-recoverable costs of venue sourcing, instructor logistics, and material shipping.
- Validity Window: Rescheduled participants may choose any available session within twelve (12) months of the original course and exam date.
- Processing Time: The scheduling department may require up to 72 business hours to process requests.
- Payment Deadline: All rescheduling fees must be settled at least five(5) days prior to the new session date at 9:00 AM CST to secure the seat.
Cancellations and Absences
- No refunds will be granted for missed sessions, “no-shows,” or participant-initiated cancellations, including instances where a participant is unable to attend a formally rescheduled session.
Walk-In Registration: Pre-registration is required for all Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions. Walk-in registration is subject to Instructor-Led Course & Exam space availability. All Instructor-Led Courses & Exams cannot exceed 35 people. If a participant is not pre-registered there will be a $75 fee will be charged plus the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session cost. This must be paid by noon on the day of the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session to continue to sit in the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. Payment will be completed by credit/debit card only. The participants will only be able to take a proctored computer exam and must supply their own computer/tablet. No printed materials will be available to the students due to non-pre-registration for Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions, and they do not qualify for a discounted re-test.
No-Show Attendance: If the participant does not attend the In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. They may attend any class that HRBUniversal holds for any time for up to 12 months with a $75 rescheduling fee. The $75 must be paid before the rescheduled Instructor-Led Course & Exam. No refund credits will be given for no-show attendance.
Refund Policy:
- In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam Registration – All registrations are final and non-refundable being HRBUniversal offers other options to achieve certification at no added cost which exceeds the current registration price.
- The contact person may request to change participants or place registration on hold for one year from the original registration date for a future session. This can be completed by responding to the confirmation or reschedule email or in the Help Ticket System.
- Online Course & Exam Registration – All registrations are final and non-refundable. All courses are assigned within 24 business hours of registration.
- Physical Items Shipped (Books, USB Drive, Study Guides, etc.) – Once the item is shipped the item is non-refundable. All items are shipped by a traceable shipping method. Once delivered HRBUniversal & shipper are no longer responsible for the participant receiving items. Fees charged by Eventbrite.com, Taxes, and Shipping & Handling cannot be refunded.
Government Closure and/or Delay: HRBUniversal can not be held responsible for the closure and/or delay by a government entity for any reason (Weather, Act of God, War, Pandemic, etc) for any In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. Participants will be scheduled for the next session within a 60-mile radius of the original location within 60 days. If the participant can not wait till the rescheduled date & location, they may request to transfer to another option to achieve certification. This rescheduling may occur more than once and more than 60 days from the original session date. There are no refunds offered due to government closure and/or delay being HRBUniversal is prepared to provide all In-Person Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions. Notice will be sent via email to all participant’s email addresses and maybe under 24 hours before the session date & start time. HRBUniversal will try its best to find an alternative solution to achieve certification to meet regulatory requirements and may differ from the original registration but the participant will not incur any extra cost unless they demand a certain branded product.
Examination Delivery: HRBUniversal is not at fault for any exam session that is not delivered or lost by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL). If the exam is not delivered or lost by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) HRBUniversal will retest at no cost to the participant at the next Instructor-Led Course & Exam session.
Internet, Website, or Device Failure: HRBUniversal is not at fault for any non-functioning internet connection, website failure, or participant device failure. HRBUniversal will do its best to resolve the issue but does not provide tech support. All participants should have all devices updated and tested on the certification website that the device meets requirements before exam time. Please create a profile with the program website before exam time and bring your user-id & password with them in written form. Once the exam session starts the clock starts ticking and no extra time will be given for technical issues on the participant’s part.
Pass Guarantee: HRBUniversal does not guarantee any passing grade on any examination. If the examinee does not pass the exam they may retest at the next scheduled session. Depending on the program the retest is free. Please review all exam programs retest policy:

HRBUniversal will not re-test any examinee on the same day being that the examinee needs to review information so they can pass the next exam attempt.
Credit Card Payments: All credit/debit cards are processed on the date registration is made and through a secure third-party website with SSL encryption. All credit/debit card transactions will be charged a 3.5% Credit Card processing fee plus transaction fee. HRBUniversal does not maintain credit card information or process credit cards on its websites. If a credit card chargeback is initiated by the registrant a fraud investigation will be conducted with all information concerning the registration, payment, and IP address used by law enforcement, regulations, your credit card issuer, and our credit card processor. All certifications and/or scores are put on hold or voided by the issuing party and the regulatory agency will be notified to suspend or revoke all licenses and/or permits related to certification to operate the business. If no fraud is found during the investigation on behalf of HRBUniversal the registrant of training is responsible for all fees related to the collection of credit card chargeback. The fees may include postage, shipping, administrative and legal fees. These fees must be paid before reinstating certification to reissue licenses or permits. The registrant of training will be responsible for all fees to reissue licenses or permits to operate the business.
Check Payments: HRBUniversal accepts all personal and/or business checks. All checks must be received ten (15) calendar days before the course/exam registration date for proper processing by our bank. If a returned check is received a fraud investigation will be conducted with all information concerning the registration, payment, and IP address used to law enforcement, regulatory, the bank the check is drawn on, and our bank All certifications are put on hold or voided by the issuing party and the regulatory agency will be notified to suspend or revoke all licenses and/or permits related to certification to operate the business. If no fraud is found during the investigation on behalf of HRBUniversal the registrant of training is responsible for all fees related to the collection of the returned check. The fees may include postage, shipping, administrative and legal fees. These fees must be paid before reinstating certification to reissue licenses or permits. The registrant of training will be responsible for all fees to reissue licenses or permits to operate a business.
IP Address: IP Addresses are recorded and linked to all training and/or exam registrations. IP Address & Payment for training and/or exam sessions are considered a signature on a contract and you have read and agreed to the Instructor-Led Course & Exam Details.
Social Media/Online Slamming: All registrants and/or course participants agree not to submit anything negative reviews on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Online Chat forums, Better Business Bureau, etc., or post anything reflecting negatively on HRBUniversal, employee’s, contractors, certification programs, license or affiliates. If such Social Media/Online Slamming is conducted HRBUniversal reserves the right to seek damages of $250,00 per post or re-post by others from all registrants and social media sites that display any negative reviews.
Audio, Video & Picture Capturing: By communicating through any channel with HRBUniversal or attending a course and/or exam session you permit to be recorded. No participant is allowed to record, duplicate, or distribute any materials used in any course and/or exam session without permission of HRBUniversal before the session.
Americans With Disabilities Act: HRBUniversal wishes to make all training and/or exam sessions reasonably accessible by persons with disabilities as required by Title III (Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities) of the Americans With Disabilities Act. After paid training session registration the attendee will provide HRBUniversal in writing at least fifteen (15) business days before the training session to determine special needs. After paid exam session registration the attendee will provide HRBUniversal in writing at least ten (10) business days before the exam session of determined exam accommodation and must be approved by the exam/security department of ServSafe. All requests must be made in writing with medical support materials. All classroom training and/or training sessions are held at all ADA-compliant facilities and provide access to all auxiliary aids and services available to participants provided by the facility. Any request under the outlined days will be treated like a regular participant registration for training and/or exam sessions.
