Location: Instructor-Led Course & Exam session location may change depending on the size of session registrations. You will receive an Instructor-Led Course & Exam session reminder via the email/Eventbrite email system used for registration within (3) three calendar days prior to the session date. All locations meet ADA requirements. If needing special accommodations please request them during registration. These requests must be made thirty (30) calendar days prior to the session date.
Correspondence: HRBUniversal uses the following communication channels – Email/Eventbrite Event email system, SMS Messaging, Facebook Messenger, WebChat, Mobile App, Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging & Telephone.
- Email/Eventbrite Event Email System – All correspondence is made through the contact person’s email address used for the registration. If you do not receive a confirmation email after registration please view your junk/spam folder. In order to ensure the proper delivery of emails about the sessions please whitelist with your email provider emails from Eventbrite.com and HRBUni.net. HRBUniversal is not responsible if your email provider filters email correspondence or deletion from the participant and/or contact person.
- SMS Messaging – SMS messing may be used for session updates and notices.
- Facebook Messanger – This is an automated system that works off of KEYWORDS for information.
- WebChat – Is used for live website support from multiple website domains that HRBUniversal owns & operates.
- Mobile App – If you choose to download any of HRBUniversal’s mobile apps you may receive push notifications.
- Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging – Is used to request reschedules, participant changes, refund requests, and general support that can not be provided in other communication channels. All changes to registration must be made by the contact person only and in written form by submitting a help ticket via Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging or WebChat.
- Telephone – Telephone communication is used for information exchange only. Any changes to registration must be in written form via Help Ticket System/Eventbrite Messaging or WebChat. Request in any other channel will not be accepted.
By communicating through any communication channel above you agree to allow HRBUniversal to capture all information related to the communication for marketing, support, regulatory reporting & legal actions. No information will be sold to a third party at any time. You may unsubscribe at any time to any communication channel by replying STOP or UNSUBSCRIBE.
Scores & Certificates: All scores and certificates for ServSafe® examinations scores & certificates are accessible to all participants by creating a profile on ServSafe.com. Scores & Certificates for computer-based exams are available to download with 24 hours of completion of the examination and paper-based scantron exams are available to download with 10 business days of completion of the examination by following the instructions on the green paper given to all participants that have completed a paper-based scantron exam. All information used to create a profile must match what is entered on the paper-based scantron exam answer sheet in order for scores and certificates to populate in the profile. If the information does not match your will need to contact ServSafe® directly at 800-765-2122. Only the person who has taken the exam can access scores & certificates for privacy reasons. HRBUniversal & ServSafe® management or staff can release scores via telephone, text, chat, or email since identity can not be verified.
All other programs other than the ServSafe® brand scores and certificates will be sent via US Mail to the person who has taken the exam. The address used for US Mail will be the one entered at the time of the exam whether by creating a profile online or on a paper-based exam scantron answer sheet. HRBUniversal & exam program management or staff can release scores via telephone, text, chat, or email since identity can not be verified.
Rescheduling Policy: HRBUniversal does not reschedule Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions until Instructor-Led Course & Exam session registration is closed. Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions close (7) seven calendar days at 9:00 AM CST. HRBUniversal reserves the right to reschedule any Instructor-Led Course & Exam session due to size, sickness, inclement weather, or unforeseen circumstances and may be under registration closing date. You will be notified via the email used for registration up to (3) three calendar days prior to Instructor-Led Course & Exam session date.
Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions up to 6 people are subject to be rescheduled if the minimum registration is not met. HRBUniversal reserves the right to combine classes in order to meet the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session minimums within a 60-mile radius of the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session that the person has registered. If the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session has been rescheduled, your registration will be moved to the next Instructor-Led Course & Exam that will be held within a 60-mile radius of the original registration location within 60-days and you will be notified by email the day & time of course or exam session. Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions may be rescheduled multiple times in a 60-day time period from the original class date until Instructor-Led Course & Exam session minimum is met. If the participants can not wait or attend the rescheduled session an option will be offered via email in the reschedule notice. These options will meet the regulatory requirement for certification and may be different from the original registration type but there will be no extra cost to participants unless they demand a certain branded product.
If an attendee needs to reschedule. This request can be made via the Help Ticket System. This must be requested prior to email/app notification of the event to be rescheduled at no extra cost. No, reschedule requests will be taken on any communication channel other than Help Ticket System. The request can only be made from the contact person with the contact person’s email address used for registration. Participants can not request a change to any registration if they are not the contact person.
The following information will be needed to reschedule:
- Contact Person Name & Email Address used for registration.
- Original session date and location
- Requested session date and location. You can view a full list of sessions at https://hrbuni.com/events.
When making this request your registration is considered as a new registration and is subject to the Instructor Course & Exam Details you have read and agreed to during the original registration other than it will non-refundable if the original session was conducted on the date of your original registration.
Requesting rescheduling after email/app notification has been sent to participants will be charged $60.00. The rescheduling fee to cover the cost of shipping of materials, meeting space, and instructor fee. All requests must be made by the contact person & the contact person’s email address. If rescheduled attendee may attend any Instructor-Led Course & Exam session that HRBUniversal holds any time up to 12 months from the original course & exam date.
Once a request is made it may take up to 72 business hours for a response from the scheduling department and all rescheduling fee(s) must be paid (7) seven days at 9:00 AM CST before the course & exam date to secure your new registration.
No refunds will be given for missed or participant cancellation of training or exam registration if they can not attend the rescheduled training or exam session.
Walk-In Registration: Pre-registration is required for all Instructor-Led Courses & Exam sessions. Walk-in registration is subject to Instructor-Led Course & Exam space availability. All Instructor-Led Courses & Exam cannot exceed 35 people. If a participant is not pre-registered there will be a $60 fee that will be charged plus the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session cost. This must be paid by 12:00 PM the day of the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session to continue to sit in Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. Payment will be completed by credit/debit card only. The participants will only be able to take a proctored computer exam and must supply their own computer/tablet. No printed materials will be available to the students due to non-pre-registration for Instructor-Led Course & Exam session and do not qualify for a discounted re-test.
No Show Attendance: If the participant does not attend the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. They may attend any class that HRBUniversal holds any time up to 12 months with a $60 rescheduling fee. The $60 must be paid prior to the rescheduled Instructor-Led Course & Exam. No refund credits will be given for no-show attendance.
Instructor-Led Course & Exam Registration – All registrations are final and non-refundable being HRBUniversal offers other options to achieve certification at no added cost which exceeds the current registration price. The contact person may request a refund for an in-person Instructor-Led Course & Exam registration if HRBUniversal does not offer an in-person session within 60-miles with 60-days of the original registration date & location. At the 60-day mark, you may request a refund through the Help Ticket System. No request will be taken by email, chat, text, or by voice call. Eventbrite Fee & Taxes are non-refundable from HRBUniversal.
The contact person may request to change participants or place registration on hold for one year from the original registration date for a future session rather than request a refund please note this in Help Ticket System.
Online Course & Exam Registration – All registrations are final and non-refundable. All courses are assigned within 24 hours of registration. Fee’s charged by Eventbrite.com or Taxes cannot be refunded.
Physical Items Shipped (Books, USB Drive, Study Guides, etc.) – Once the item is shipped the item is non-refundable. All items are shipped by a traceable shipping method. Once delivered HRBUniversal & shipper is no longer responsible for participant receiving items. Fee’s charged by Eventbrite.com, Taxes, and Shipping & Handling cannot be refunded.
The only person that can request a refund is the contact person. The name and email address must match the registration. A participant can not request a refund unless they are the contact person.
All refunds will be processed on the 20th of the month and may take 20-30 calendar days to show on the bank/credit card statement.
Government Closure and/or Delay: HRBUniversal can not be held responsible for the closure and/or delay by a government entity for any reason (Weather, Act of God’s, War, Pandemic, etc….) for any Instructor-Led Course & Exam session. Participants will be scheduled for the next session within a 60-mile radius of the original location. This rescheduling may occur more than once and more than 60-days from the original session date. There are no refunds offered due to government closure and/or delay being HRBUniversal is prepared to provide all Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions. Notice will be sent via email to all participant’s email addresses and maybe under 24 hours before the session date & start time. HRBUniversal will try its best to find an alternative solution to achieve certification to meet regulatory requirements and may differ from the original registration but the participant will not incur any extra cost unless they demand a certain branded product.
Examination Delivery: HRBUniversal is not at the fault of any exam session that is not delivered or lost by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL). If the exam is not delivered or lost by the carrier (UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL) HRBUniversal will retest at no cost to the participant at the next Instructor-Led Course & Exam session.
Internet, Website, or Devive Failure: HRBUniversal is not at the fault of any non-functioning internet connection, website failure, or participant device failure. HRBUniversal will do its best to resolve the issue but does not provide tech support. All participants should have all devices updated and test on the certification website that the device meets requirements prior to exam time. Please create a profile with the program website prior to exam time and bring user-id & password with them in written form. Once the exam session starts the clock starts ticking and no extra time will be given for technical issues on the participant’s part.
Pass Guarantee: HRBUniversal does not guarantee any passing grade on any examination. If the class attendee does not pass the exam they may retest at a discounted price if these conditions are met:
- Must attend the full Instructor-Led Course & Exam session scheduled.
- Must register for the course prior to the course regular registration closing 10 (ten) calendar days prior to the session.
- Must complete Practice & Diagnostic Test prior to the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session and bring to Instructor-Led Course & Exam session or complete in the HRBOnDemand mobile app. This is for all instructor-Led Food Manager Courses only.
- Must request the re-test with 6 months of original course & exam date.
- Can attend the Instructor-Led Course & Exam session for free and retest for 50% of the exam proctor fee only one time.
- A discounted retest is only for people that have attended HRBUniversal Instructor-Led Course & Exam sessions. Online training, self-study, on-demand, remotely proctored exam, or exams only do not qualify for the discount.
Credit Card Payments: All credit cards are processed the date registration is made and through a secure third-party website with SSL encryption. HRBUniversal does not maintain credit card information or process credit cards on its websites. If a credit card chargeback is initiated by the registrant a fraud investigation will be conducted with all information concerning the registration, payment, and IP address used by law enforcement, regulatory, your credit card issuer, and our credit card processor. All certifications and/or scores are put on hold or voided by the issuing party and the regulatory agency will be notified to suspend or revoke all licenses and/or permits related to certification to operate the business. If no fraud is found during the investigation on behalf of HRBUniversal the registrant of training is responsible for all fees related to the collection of credit card chargeback. The fees may include postage, shipping, administrative and legal fees. These fees must be paid prior to reinstating certification to reissue licenses or permits. The registrant of training will be responsible for all fees to reissue licenses or permits to operate the business.
Check Payments: HRBUniversal accepts all personal and/or business checks. All checks must be received ten (15) calendar days prior to the course/exam registration date for proper processing by our bank. If a returned check is received a fraud investigation will be conducted with all information concerning the registration, payment, and IP address used to law enforcement, regulatory, the bank the check is drawn on, and our bank All certifications are put on hold or voided by the issuing party and the regulatory agency will be notified to suspend or revoke all licenses and/or permits related to certification to operate the business. If no fraud is found during the investigation on behalf of HRBUniversal the registrant of training is responsible for all fees related to the collection of the returned check. The fees may include postage, shipping, administrative and legal fees. These fees must be paid prior to reinstating certification to reissue licenses or permits. The registrant of training will be responsible for all fees to reissue licenses or permits to operate a business.
IP Address: IP Addresses are recorded and linked to all training and/or exam registrations. IP Address & Payment for training and/or exam sessions are considered a signature on a contract and you have read and agreed to the Instructor-Led Course & Exam Details.
Social Media/Online Slamming: All registrants and/or course participants agree not to submit anything negative reviews on social media sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Online Chat forums, Better Business Bureau, etc. or post anything reflecting negatively on HRBUniversal, employee’s, contractors, certification programs, license or affiliates. If such Social Media/Online Slamming is conducted HRBUniversal reserves the right to seek damages of $250,00 per post or re-post by others from all registrants and social media sites that display any negative reviews.
Audio, Video & Picture Capturing: By communicating through any channel with HRBUniversal or attending a course and/or exam session you give permission to be recorded. No participant is allowed to record, duplicate, or distribute any materials used in any course and/or exam session without permission of HRBUniversal prior to the session.
Americans With Disabilities Act: HRBUniversal wishes to make all training and/or exam session reasonably accessible by persons with disabilities as required by Title III (Public Accommodations and Services Operated by Private Entities) of the Americans With Disabilities Act. After paid training session registration the attendee will provide HRBUniversal in writing at least fifteen (15) business days prior to the training session of determining special needs. After paid exam session registration the attendee will provide HRBUniversal in writing at least ten (10) business days prior to the exam session of determined exam accommodation and must be approved by the exam/security department of ServSafe. All requests must be made in writing with medical support materials. All classroom training and/or training session are held at all ADA-compliant facilities and provide access to all auxiliary aids and services available to participants provided by the facility.
