Online Training

eTiPS online training is a self-paced, innovative approach to alcohol server and seller training. The course allows participants to obtain training anywhere, anytime. eTIPS can:

  • Reduce exposure to alcohol liability lawsuits.
  • Ensure alcohol training is in compliance with state regulations.

TIPS Alcohol-responsible beverage server training is mandatory in many states. Many bars, restaurants, and insurance companies require training as a condition of employment.

eTiPS On Premise - Our core program is designed for bartenders, wait staff, valets, hosts and managers at restaurants, bars, hotels, in-store tastings, or other establishments where alcohol is consumed on the premises. Take Course

eTiPS Off Premise- Addresses the sale of alcohol at grocery stores, convenience stores, liquor, and package stores. Clerks learn strategies for preventing illegal alcohol sales to underage and/or intoxicated patrons. Take Course

eTiPS Concessions - Designed for concessionaires that work in stadiums, arenas, theaters, concert halls, fairs, amusement parks, and festivals. The focus of this program is on assessing patrons in a short period of time to prevent illegal alcohol sales.  Take Course

eTiPS Gaming - Tailored for casinos, riverboats, and gambling halls, this program focuses on the unique issues that may occur within a casino.  Take Course

eTiPS University - Provides college and university students with the confidence, skills, and strategies to prevent alcohol-related problems that occur on and off campus.  Take Course

Remote TiPS Course & Exam

Our online on-premise version of TIPS Alcohol Certification is valid or accepted for use in bars and restaurants in all 50 states, U.S. territories, the District of Columbia, and over 50 countries. This includes Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington State, Washington DC, West Virginia, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. It is also accepted in US Territories such as Guam, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.

Iowa ABD recognizes TIPS as an "expanded approach to responsible beverage server training." In addition, TIPS alcohol server and seller certification is approved by the following state programs: CA Responsible Beverage Service (RBS); AK Alcohol Server Education (ASE); PA Responsible Alcohol Management Program (RAMP); OK ABLE Commission; LA ATC Responsible Vendor (RV Server Permit/Bar Card); IL Beverage Alcohol Sellers and Servers Education and Training (BASSET); NY Alcohol Training and Awareness Program (ATAP); Mandatory Requirements Rule 43; Mandatory Alcohol Server Training (MAST); Clark and Washoe Counties, and Carson City, NV; AZ Title 4 Basic Training and AZ Title 4 Manager Training; TABC Training; Responsible Permittee Program; Responsible Vendor Program (RVP); FL Responsible Vendor Act; and, District of Columbia Alcoholic Beverage Regulation Administration (ABRA).
